The Halls
Living on campus can be an exciting and enriching part of your college
experience. Whatever option you choose, you'll find
a true sense of community at your SDSU home. Aside from the obvious
benefits of convenience
and camaraderie, on-campus living definitely offers
important academic benefits as well!
The Office of Housing Administration
has eight residence
hall or apartment complexes, with a variety of
living options. Residence halls are situated on the
east and west sides of campus. Each residence hall
contract includes local telephone service with
voicemail, local cable service, and
Internet connections in each room (except Aztec
Corner). All halls/complexes are coed. All individual
rooms, suites and apartments are same-gender.
Traditional Residence Halls
The traditional residence halls offer double occupancy accommodations.
They are the best value and offer the greatest opportunity
to develop a large social network. Each building or complex
is usually divided into wings or room clusters. Though
the buildings are all co-ed, we attempt to place same-gender
residents close to their designated restroom. Each double
room is equipped with a bed, desk & chair,
dresser, closet, and bookshelf for each resident. Double
rooms also include a microfridge.
Suite-Style Halls
University Towers (UT) offers mini-suite accommodations with two double
rooms sharing a common bathroom. Four residents live in
each mini-suite. Cuicacalli Suites has suite-style accommodations,
where nine or ten residents share a suite with single and
triple rooms, a shared common living area, full-size refrigerator and
microwave, and two full-size bathrooms.
Cuicacalli Suites is
also home to the residential dining facility, The
Dining Room, along with the Aztec Grill & Convenience
Store.
Apartments
Villa Alvarado is a 90-unit complex of furnished two bedroom apartments.
Each apartment houses four students and includes a living
room, dining area, kitchen and bathroom. Aztec Corner is
a 175-unit complex of furnished one and two bedroom apartments,
which include a living room, kitchen/dining area and bathroom/s.
Each bedroom is double occupancy at Aztec Corner, with
one bedroom apartments accommodating two residents and
two bedroom apartments accommodating four residents. Villa
Alvarado and Aztec Corner remain open during the Thanksgiving,
winter and spring breaks.
